Cathedral Glass Windows at Moxley United Methodist Church in Wadley, GA
In 2011, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (10) cathedral glass windows at Moxley United Methodist Church in Wadley, GA. These windows did not contain hand-stained glass artwork, but they did have memorial plates at the bottom.
The windows are installed into the existing openings. Laws removed the old sashes and placed the new windows into the existing wood frames using the inside stops back and new 1/2" x 3-1/2" white wood on the outside. These windows also received 1/4" Lucite acrylic as the protective covering on the outside. The Lucite is held in place with two rows of 1/2" x 1/2" white aluminum stop.
In 2014, the church ordered two more side windows and a transom. The church had a contractor cut a hole in the wall above the front doors to accommodate the transom. Laws installed a new white aluminum frame and placed 1/4" Lucite acrylic on the outside as the protective covering.
