Stained Glass Windows at Salem United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, NC
In 2017, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (14) opalescent glass windows at Salem United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, NC. The nine sanctuary windows (size 36" wide x 50" high) and four smaller windows (size 36" wide x 46" high) each had a 12" round Biblical scene and a memorial plate. The transom (size 36" wide x 10" high) did not have artwork or a memorial plate.
The sanctuary windows received new dark bronze aluminum frames. The existing aluminum frames were removed and the new frames were installed brick to brick. On the interior of the frame, the leaded glass window was set, and on the exterior, 1/4" Lucite acrylic was placed as the protective covering. The smaller windows and the transom were installed into the existing wood frames. The 1/4" Lucite acrylic was placed on the outside of them.
