Opalescent Glass Windows at St. John CME Church in Gordon, GA
In 2010, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (10) opalescent glass windows in the sanctuary at St. John CME Church in Glennville, GA. Six of the windows (size 36" wide x 60" high) had a 12" round Biblical scene from the "Life of Christ" series and a scroll memorial plate. Four of the windows (size 36" wide x 60" high) did not have artwork or a memorial plate.
Laws began the installation by removing the existing Krinkleglass (transparent fiberglass). Laws installed the new opalescent glass windows into the existing wood frame. The outside of the wood frame was covered with white aluminum flashing. On the exterior, 1/4" Lucite acrylic was installed as the protective covering.
