Stained Glass Windows at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swansea, SC

In 1984, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (17) cathedral glass windows and a light box window at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swansea, SC. Three large triple windows (size 76" wide x 173" high with a gothic top) each have a floating scene in the center with different symbols on either side and at the top are the symbols for God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Seven windows (size 28-1/2" wide x 99" high with a gothic top) have a floating symbol in each. Two windows have aluminum frames: one large triple window (size 92-1/2" wide x 158-1/4" high with a gothic top) and a transom (size 104" wide x 79" high with a gothic top) - both of these windows have six floating symbols in them. Five smaller windows located outside of the sanctuary had symbols as well.

Laws installed these windows into the existing wood frames except for the two that received new aluminum frames.

Located behind the altar, the light box (size 72" wide x 48" high) has a full-pictorial hand-stained glass scene of "The Last Supper" with a special grape motif border. On either side of this window were placed two windows with symbols - one representing "Jesus washing the disciples' feet" and the other "Judas' betrayal".

In 2011, Laws Stained Glass Studios returned to install seven more windows (size 29-1/2" wide x 63-1/2" high). Each window contained a cut-in or floating symbol. These windows were installed into an existing vinyl clad window frame.
