Stained Glass Windows at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA
In 2009, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (41) opalescent glass windows at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA. These windows were placed in a chapel and a prayer room. Eighteen of the windows were size 16-1/2" wide by 57" high and were arranged as double windows. Twenty-two of the windows were also arranged as double windows and were size 18" wide by 55" high. None of these windows had hand-stained artwork, but had a memorial plate at the bottom. The one large window (size 128" wide by 145" high with a gothic top) contained a floating scene of "Blessing the Little Children" and a memorial plate.
Laws installed the new opalescent glass windows into the existing aluminum frames using one row of aluminum stop. The windows had existing insulated glass units as the protective covering.
