Stained Glass Windows for First Baptist Church in Hope, AR
In 2004, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed new opalescent glass windows. Laws removed the existing wood sashes, covered the wood frame with 1/8" thick aluminum, and installed a new dark bronze aluminum frame with 1/4" Lucite acrylic protective covering, making it maintenance free from the outside. The leaded opalescent glass windows (size 60" wide x 212" high) feature 28" x 42" hand-stained scenes from the "Life of Christ" series.
In 2006, Laws returned to install opalescent glass windows with cut-in symbols in the steeple. With the bottom of the windows approximately 40 ft. in the air, Laws used a special lift to remove the existing sashes and install the new frames and windows.
