Stained Glass Windows at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC

In 2009, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (10) opalescent glass windows at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC. The sanctuary windows (size 36" wide x 72" high) did not contain hand-stained glass artwork but had a place for a memorial plate.

Laws Stained Glass Studios removed the existing aluminum frames and installed new dark bronze aluminum frames from the brick to the brick. The inside leg of the frame was sawed off so that it would fit the inside wood casing. On the interior of the frame, the opalescent glass window was set. On the exterior, Laws installed 1/4" Lucite acrylic as the protective covering.
