Stained Glass Windows at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bruington, VA

In 2010, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (14) stained glass windows at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bruington, VA. The ten main windows (size 36" wide x 120" high with a gothic top) were made of opalescent glass and had a 18" x 26" hand-stained glass medallion that featured a scene from the life of Christ. One smaller, opalescent glass window (size 28" wide x 66" high with a gothic top) and one small transom (36" wide x 31" high) did not have artwork. One larger transom (size 60" wide x 52" high with a gothic top) had a ribbon with the church's name. All of these windows had memorial plates. One window in the balcony area (size 35" wide x 71" high with a gothic top) was made of hand-stained pictorial glass which depicted the scene "Come Unto Me."

For the installation, Laws Stained Glass Studios removed the existing wood sashes and set the new leaded windows into the existing wood frame. On exterior, the wood frame was covered with white aluminum flashing. To the outside of the leaded glass, 1/4" Lucite acrylic was installed as the protective covering.
