Stained Glass

     In 2016, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (21) opalescent glass windows and (8) door panels at St. Augustine's Seminary in Bay St. Louis, MS.  The size main sanctuary windows (size 32" wide x 151" high with a round top), two smaller windows (size 33" wide x 66" high), and one other window (size 33" wide x 86" high) each contained a 18" x 26" hand-stained glass medallion with a scene from the "Life of Christ".  One window (size 24" wide x 47" high) had a 12" x 16" medallion with a Biblical scene.  Two small windows (size 15" wide x 38" high) and two even smaller windows (size 12" wide x 33" high) contained small 7" x 9" medallions. One "football-shaped" window did not contain artwork.   Six windows in the vestibule each contained 12" x 16" medallions.  The eight door panels did not contain artwork.

     Laws began the work by removing the tinting film that was glued to the inside of the existing plate glass window.  Then the opalescent glass windows were installed into the existing frames using the existing stops on some and new stops on others.  The existing plate glass remained in place and serves as the protective covering.

     The church had two existing hand-stained glass windows made by another studio.
