Stained Glass Windows at Kyuka Missionary Baptist Church in Attalla, AL
In 2016, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed (10) opalescent glass windows at Kyuka Missionary Baptist Church in Attalla, AL. The church was building a new sanctuary and needed some round top windows. The eight main windows (size 36" wide x 72" high with a round top) and the two smaller windows (size 36" wide x 60" high with a round top) each have a 12" round Biblical scenes from the life of Christ. The windows do not have memorial plates.
Laws first installed the dark bronze aluminum frames into the stud openings. The church covered the frames with plastic in order to protect them while the masons laid the brick and stone. The frames were used as templates for the masons. Later, Laws returned and installed the leaded glass windows into the frames on the interior. On the exterior, Laws installed 1" insulated glass units into the frames.
